Providing the smooth and mellow vocals in Tristan Beulah’s new album, Kaylen Riedlinger adds a unique dimension to the music. Kaylen’s love of music began early as she grew up in a musical family; her dad plays jazz piano and her grandfather was skilled in several instruments. Kaylen followed in her family’s footsteps starting piano early in elementary school and singing in the choir since fourth grade.

Rather than a simple pastime however, to Kaylen, music is one of the most important aspects of her life. In fact, it would be difficult to find any area of her life that hasn’t been affected by music in some way. She was involved in jazz, chamber and concert choir all through high school as well as having performed in several musicals. She has continued her love of singing through participation in the BC Honour Choir, Celesta Women’s Choir, Capilano University's Cap Jazz Choir and the Spirit Singers. With such an incredible array of musical education and experience, Kaylen’s superb vocal abilities on the album are undeniably impressive.
The 22 year old cites Canadian jazz singer Holly Cole as one of her creative inspirations but says she is more inspired by the songs themselves rather than the artist. Born in Vancouver B.C and now living on the North Shore, Kaylen one day hopes to be an elementary school music teacher. When not studying or focusing on music, Kaylen enjoys expressing her seemingly limitless creativity through fashion and clothing.
